Mini Roundabouts
Mini roundabouts and neighborhood traffic circles lower speeds at minor intersection crossings and are an ideal treatment for uncontrolled intersections.

The traversable island will be 4″ high on Franklin.
The video shown below shows examples of the many types of treatments that can be utilized with mini-roundabouts. Due to design constraints, the mini-roundabouts proposed to be constructed on West Franklin Blvd. will utilize pavement striping and a transversable concrete island, with raised splitter islands on the W. Franklin approaches and painted splitter islands on side street approaches.
