  • Removal of asphalt surface and replacement with new asphalt.
  • Full-depth pavement repairs where necessary.

  • W. 74th Street
    • Signal is being removed.
    • Mini roundabout is being constructed.
  • W. 69th Street
    • Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) installation with high visibility crosswalk striping.
  • W. 58th Street
    • Signal is being removed.
    • Mini roundabout is being constructed.

Additional information is included below on some of these features.

Mini Roundabouts

Mini roundabouts and neighborhood traffic circles lower speeds at minor intersection crossings and are an ideal treatment for uncontrolled intersections.

The video shown below shows examples of the many types of treatments that can be utilized with mini-roundabouts. Due to design constraints, the mini-roundabouts proposed to be constructed on West Franklin Blvd. will utilize pavement striping and a transversable concrete island.
